We have just returned from a 16 day photographic tour of the Atlantic Rainforest, Pantanal and Cerrado! A group of 8 keen photographers embarked under the expert guidance of Glenn Bartley to visit these three amazing habitats. We had an amazing trip with so many fantastic photographic opportunities ranging from stunning tanagers such as Green-headed Tanager, Red-necked Tanager, Brazilian Tanager, Brassy-breasted Tanager, the most beautiful hummingbirds including Festive Coquette, Scale-throated Hermit, Brazilian Ruby, Violet-capped Woodnymph, Red-breasted Toucan, Saffron Toucanet, Channel-billed Toucan, Toco Toucan, the most outrageous Woodpeckers including Blond-crested, Yellow-fronted, Yellow-tufted, both Plain and Maroon-bellied Parakeets, a huge diversity of wetland birds including 4 species of kingfisher, Bare-faced, Green, Plumbeous and Buff-necked Ibis, Capped Heron, Rufescent Tiger-Heron, Snowy Egret, Boat-billed Heron, Jabiru, Wood Stork, raptors including Laughing Falcon, Black-collared Hawk, Great-black Hawk, Crane Hawk and other amazing species such as the truly outrageous Hyacinth Macaw, Nacunda Nighthawk, Black-fronted Nunbird and to top everything off, Tapir, Giant River Otter, Giant Anteater, Marsh Deer and no less than 6 Jaguars!
