November birding!

November birding!
November has seen another run of non-stop tours based out of Itororo Lodge covering the whole elevational range of the surrounding Serra do Mar Mountains! Highlights have been many and included the nesting Swallow-tailed Cotinga visible from the deck at Itororo Lodge, this is the fourth consecutive year they have nested in the lodge grounds, Brazilian Laniisoma gets a mention as we have seen it on several occasions, sometimes easier than others, Sharpbill putting on a mega performance for one lucky group, dropping down from the canopy to eye level, Saffron and Spot-billed Toucanets remain firm favourites, Red-necked, Gilt-edged, Green-headed and Red-necked Tanagers, Black-billed Scythebill, White-breasted Tapaculo, Grey-winged Cotinga, Black and Gold Cotinga, Rusty-barred Owl, Tawny-browed Owl, Giant Snipe, Long-trained Nightjar and some 330 other species observed over the last month!
We are already preparing for another busy year in 2025 and have also started taking bookings for 2026, so book now to see some truly amazing birds and wildlife in the Atlantic Rainforest, Pantanal, North-East Brazil, Iguazu Falls and the Amazon!
