We spent the day birding Macae de Cima. Following a rather chilly start to the morning (4 degrees centigrade!) we had a lot of birds and a very productive day. Highlights included White-bearded Antshrike, Gray-capped Tyrannulet (eye level instead of the usual canopy views), Spot-billed Toucanet, Dusky-tailed Antbird, White-bibbed Antbird, Sharp-tailed Streamcreeper, Glittering-bellied Emerald, Bertoni’s Antbird, Eared Pygmy Tyrant, Scale-throated Hermit, Shear-tailed gray-Tyrant and Rufous-breasted Leaftosser.
