Feeders at Itororo Lodge

As winter slowly approaches at Itororo Lodge the feeders are becoming busier with plenty of visits from various tanger species including Brassy-breasted Tanager, Ruby-crowned Tanager, Golden-chevroned Tanager, Magpie Tanager and Burnished-buff Tanager. Other species visiting the feeders include Maroon-bellied Parakeet, Plain Parakeet, Rufous-bellied and Pale-breasted Thrush, Green-winged Saltator and hummingbirds including Brazilian Ruby, Scale-throated Hermit, White-throated Hummingbird, Violet-capped Woodnymph, Amethyst Woodstar and Sapphire-spangled Emerald.
The winter in the Atlantic rain forest (June-August) is a wonderful time of year to visit. Cool temperatures, very busy feeding stations and some great mixed flocks!
