Day 3 of the Field Guides tour saw us spend the day birding along the Macae de Cima trail. This trail runs through some great Atlantic forest at altitudes between 1000 – 1450m. The day started off wet but soon improved giving some great birding conditions. Highlights from today included Giant Antshrike, Green-crowned Plovercrest, Pin-tailed Manakin, Eared Pygmy-Tyrant, Grey-hooded Attila, White-bearded Antshrike, Rufous-breasted Leaftosser, Slaty Bristlefront, Greenish Schiffornis, Yellow-browed Woodpecker, Yellow-eared Woodpecker and Spotted Bamboowren!
