Now into the 3rd day of the Birdfinders tour and we have just returned from some high altitude birding at Pico da Caledonia. Such a productive day getting some great views of some truly stunning birds including Diademed Tanager, Bay-chested Warbling Finch, Green-crowned Plovercrest (photo below, Andy Foster), Rufous-backed Antvireo, Black and Gold Cotinga, Brassy-breasted Tanager, Thick-billed Saltator, Large-tailed Antshrike, Red-legged Seriema, Serra do Mar Tyrannulet and Rufous-tailed Antbird.
