The Birdfinders tour at Itororo Lodge finished yesterday having seen a total of 279 species of which 93 were Atlantic forest endemics! The last few days were very productive seeing many new species including Green-headed Tanager, Red-necked Tanager, Ochre-breasted Foliage Gleaner, Frilled Coquette, Spot-backed Antshrike, Black-cheeked Gnateater, Olive-green Tanager, Spot-breasted Antvireo, White-breasted Tapaculo, Sharpbill, Variegated Antpitta, Sharp-billed Treehunter, White-browed Foliage Gleaner, Black-billed Scythebill and many others.
