First 2018 tour complete!

So our first 8 day tour of 2018 has just come to an end with a total of 251 species being seen, of which a staggering 87 were Atlantic forest endemics! Had a great last mornings birding in the Itororo Lodge grounds managing to get good views of both Rufous-tailed and Cryptic Antthrush, Variegated Antpitta, White-breasted Tapaculo, Fawn-breasted Tanager and Spotted Bamboowren….talk about leaving the most difficult birds until the last minute! Amazing how everything responded so well this morning, rarely it happens as well as this!
