Our private tour continued today birding the forest around Macae de Cima. For this tour we have a specific list of species to look for as the participants are very well travelled and have seen the majority of the species in our area apart from some of the harder to find endemics. Today despite some very windy conditions we did well and saw the following species; Plovercrest, White-bearded Antshrike, Ochre-faced Tody Flycatcher, Buff-browed Foliage Gleaner, Bare-throated Bellbird, Ochre-rumped Antbird, Spotted Bamboowren, Such’s Antthrush, Half-collared Sparrow, Plain Parakeet, Maroon-bellied Parakeet, Rufous-capped Antshrike, Shear-tailed Gray-Tyrant, Grey-hooded Attila and Azure-shouldered Tanager!
Last night we also managed great views of Short-tailed Nighthawk, Long-trained Nightjar and Rusty-barred Owl.
