Open country birding, Field Guides tour day 7!

Another great days birding on day 7 of the Field Guides tour. Today we spent a full day birding the open country area around Duas Barras and Sumidouro. Thankfully we had paid good attention to the weather forecast and saved this generally drier day for a rainy day (if that makes sense)! We left the Lodge in low cloud and rain but by the time we arrived at our first stop the rain had almost stopped, we had a dry days birding with good cloud cover until mid afternoon which kept the birds very active! Some of todays highlights included the endemic and very localised Three-toed Jacamar, Blue-winged Macaw, Serra Antwren, Grey-eyed Greenlet, White-eared Puffbird, Blackish Rail, White-eyed Parakeet, Gilt-edged Tanager, Streamer-tailed Tyrant, Yellow-browed Tyrant, Glittering-bellied Emerald, Swallow-tailed Hummingbird, Firewood Gatherer, Crested-Black Tyrant, Curl-crested Jay and Black-capped Donacobius.
