New tour report and camera trap!

The report from the Naturetrek tour in March is now available online:

Naturetrek tour report 26 February – 6 March 2016

As autumn approaches temperatures are now starting to fall at Itororo Lodge! Within a couple of weeks we should start to get our first Blue-naped Chlorophonias back on the feeders together with Gilt-edged, Azure-shouldered, Magpie, Burnished Buff and hopefully Brassy-breasted Tanagers! We have set up another new feeder in the forest, specifically aimed at trying to get both Saffron and Spot-billed Toucanets and various other Tanager species!

We have also started running a camera trap on our trails around the lodge. Results so far have been great with photos of Oncilla (a small forest cat), Tayra, Paca, Common Opossum, Nine-banded Armadillo, Brown Tinamou, Spot-winged Wood-Quail and Rufous-capped Motmot!

Oncilla caught on our camera trap, very camouflaged on the left hand side of the photo!
